The Old Station Nursery Group launched the Brighter Learning Approach across all settings this year.
This has been introduced to enrich children’s learning and development within the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, the approach fosters curiosity, creativity, and holistic well-being.
The commitment to going beyond academic achievement with the Brighter Learning Approach distinguishes The Old Station Nursery Group and solidifies them as a leading nursery group. The group believe that learning should be a journey, inspiring children to explore, experiment, and express themselves. The settings within the group aim to enhance collaboration and communication, nurturing partnerships between parents, caregivers, and educators. Moreover, the approach instils core values such as empathy, respect, and environmental consciousness, equipping children to become responsible and compassionate global citizens.
At The Old Station Nursery Group, the teams take pride in on not just providing quality childcare, but advocation for brighter futures by pioneering innovative practices that sculpt young minds, setting a new standard in early childhood education.
The Brighter Learning Approach is divided into 6 key enrichments: Confident Speakers and Communicators which helps to develop confident communicators by engaging in quality conversations within a language rich and communication friendly environment; Mini Maths that engages the children in meaningful mathematical learning; Raving Readers that entices and excites children to develop a life-long love of books and reading; Super STEAM which enables early experiences in Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics; Wonderful World where children learn to understand the world they live in and how they can make a difference, and My Happy and Healthy Self that promotes children’s holistic health and laying the foundations for a happy, healthy and successful life.
