I spent many enjoyable years working with a fantastic staff team and a very supportive manager. With constant consideration given to staff well-being, I always felt valued and appreciated and had opportunities for my own CPD, highlighted through regular supervisions and appraisals. After a typical, busy day at work, I would leave knowing that the needs of the children were met. Part of this was due to great working relationships with the staff team where, through good communications, ideas were shared and, with support from the manager, the ability to take on new ideas and strategies in working with the children.
The Old Station Nursery is a good company to work for. The people I work with are all highly professional and passionate about the children's learning. A typical day is well planned for the children in my room with lots of engaging activities. There are plenty of chances to improve your knowledge with workshops. Lunch is free and of good quality for staff. The management is always positive, and the manager often goes above and beyond in her role to make sure staff are happy. She is always positive and encouraging.
Since I started, everyone has been so welcoming! It is a wonderful atmosphere and the team work really well together, always happy to have a laugh. I have been given many training opportunities and have worked my way up to deputy manager where there are still so many opportunities. Management have been very supportive and have shown flexibility so I can balance work and home life. Great place to work!
