    A nursery set within extensive grounds.

    A nursery on the outskirts of Totnes that provides a stimulating environment.

    Our beautiful Dartington Nursery in Totnes is nestled between Dartmoor and the South Devon coastline. The setting is built up of four rooms, where children are split into groups depending on their age and developmental needs. All rooms have a hygge-inspired decor, helping children to feel comfortable and secure in a home-from-home environment.

    The baby areas are spacious and lead directly onto a private decking area, overlooking the garden which provides plenty of fresh air and free movement. This room is carefully structured, to allow for quiet spaces made for sleeping and relaxation, as well as suitable spaces and equipment to encourage messy play.

    Our Meadow room is for children approaching 2 years old and is equipped with a large variety of resources and natural objects to encourage your child’s curiosity. There is a large garden area, designed to promote outdoor play, and to encourage an active lifestyle where the children can take part in activities such as running around, cycling, and much more.

    Our Dartington Nursery is situated in a quiet residential area and a short drive from the A38, with easy access from places like Ivybridge, Ashburton and Buckfastleigh. Parking is available outside the nursery making it easy for drop-off and pick-up.

    The nursery has so much outdoor space, with a lovely garden attached to the room. The kids are always outdoors which I love, building campfires, collecting water from the steam or playing in the rain. The staff really drive the children to make the most out of the space and encourage their imagination."

All the staff are really lovely and encourage her to be herself and explore. Our daughter has become attached to her key person in every room who have helped her come on miles both verbally and with her confidence.     Helping pay for your childcare

    Understandably, the cost of day nursery can put many familiesoff choosing it as an option. But there are a range of Government schemes open to parents that can make nursery affordable and we will do everything we can to help you understand the choices and access the funding that you might be eligible for.

    Tax-Free Childcare  – For working families earning under £100k and at least £131 per week (equal to 16 hours at the National Minimum or Living Wage) each who aren’t receiving Tax Credits, Universal Credit or childcare vouchers.

    15 hours and 30 hours Funded Childcare  – For many working parents of 2 year olds, and 3 – 4 year olds for 38 weeks each year.
