Clubs provide extra value for money

The Brighter Learning Approach delivers several extra-curricular clubs with parent satisfaction in mind, providing added value for money for parents and extra learning opportunities for our children.  These clubs are run as part of the normal nursery day by the nursery team as well as visiting Early Years professionals who bring sporting and musical equipment along to enhance the experience.

Budding Gardeners

Budding Gardeners fosters a love for gardening and sustainable practices, nurturing plants, growing food, and instilling an appreciation for nature and eco-conscious values.

During Budding Gardeners club the children will plant herbs, plants, fruits, vegetables and flowers, sometimes harvesting and eating their own crops or we send seedlings home to be loved and nurtured on your kitchen shelf.

Budding Chefs

During Budding Chefs club we harness a love of creating and cooking with the aid of child-safe cooking utensils. Sometimes we will use ingredients grown in our own garden allotments and use the opportunity to talk about the importance of garden to table. All sorts of cakes, bakes and breads are enjoyed by the children.

The Budding Chefs photos shared on the nurserys’ Facebook pages are wonderful to see and a firm favourite of our parents.

 Budding Artists

The daily Budding Artists clubs promotes confidence through artistic experiences, offering children the opportunity to express themselves through colours and imagination, fostering self-assured creativity.  Activities might include dressing up role-play and acting to sticking, cutting and painting using all sorts of natural and recycled materials.

Parents can be sure to expect a fridge-door-full of artistic delights to display.

 Budding Movers

Budding Mover activities happen in every nursery every day.  The activities promote physical activity for health and fun, motivating children to embrace the joy of movement through engaging games.  When you come for a tour in our nurseries you might find us dancing or engaging in ball games just like the children will do at primary school during P.E lesson.

In some nurseries we have an external team of Early Year’s professionals who hold sporting sessions such as Rugby Tots, Mini Rackets and Boogie Beats.

Budding Scientists

Budding Scientists clubs focus on the wonders of the world around us, encouraging the children to explore Science through hands-on experiments. With the support of the nursery team the children learn to question and form their own theories. Examples might be experimenting with changing colours when we mix paint, exploring the word ‘gravity’ and what it means or watching the changing stages of a caterpillar metamorphosing into a butterfly.

 Budding Musicians

Budding Musicians is an important club that supports with children’s cognitive development whilst encouraging the use of music for self-expression and communication. These sessions are sometimes held by an external team such as the great musicians at Musical Mayhem. The children use their listening skills to copy a sound and experience different sounds coming together. Many children develop an ‘ear’ for music at a young age and everyone takes away a life-long love of music in its many forms.
