    What this role involves:

    Asa Deputy Manager, you will be leading, mentoring and inspiring your team members to ensure a high standard of physical, emotional, social and intellectual care for the children. You will be liaising and communicating with parents and oversee the planning for children’s next steps with development.

    The Deputy Manager role also includes supporting the Nursery Manager with any tasks delegated and in the absence of the Manager you will be responsible for the day to day running of the Nursery. This is the perfect role for an empowering and supportive leader.

    What this role involves:

    This role offers a fantastic opportunity to work closely with children at our setting.SENCO training and experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities. A genuine passion for collaborating with parents and professionals is essential. The Special Education Needs Coordinator (SENCo) is responsible for the daily implementation of the setting's SEND and Inclusion policies, ensuring all children are fully included. You will work closely with the Manager and staff team.

    Key responsibilities:
    • Provide high-quality care and education to children in the early years
    • Create and implement developmentally appropriate activities.
    • Mentor and support children's social, emotional, and cognitive development
    • Collaborate with parents/families to ensure each child's wellbeing and progress
    • Work with outside agencies and write support plans as needed
    • Work in collaboration with Key Carers and parents in delivering purposeful individual support plans

    Required skills:

    • Level 3 or higher qualification in child development
    • Experience as an Early Years Educator or with children under 5
    • SENCO qualified or near completion
    • Knowledge and understanding of the EYFS
    • Strong knowledge and experience in Early Years
    • Excellent mentoring abilities to foster children's growth and development
    • Proficiency in behaviour management techniques to create a positive learning environment
    • Experience of working with children with SEND and managing paperwork necessary for role.
    • Be well organised and flexible.
