This week at St Nicholas Day Nursery, the children have been exploring the important topic of road safety, learning how to stay safe when out and about, all while having fun with hands-on activities.
At St Nicholas Day Nursery, part of the Sunhill Day Nurseries and The Old Station Nursery Group, we’ve had a fantastic time this week celebrating Road Safety Week. The children have been learning how to stay safe when walking outside and exploring different road safety rules.
The week has been filled with fun, educational activities to reinforce these important lessons, including tuff trays with matching road signs, sand roads, and plenty of opportunities for scooping and mark making. The children also had a blast using paint and glue to create their own traffic lights, reinforcing the idea of stopping, going, and being cautious when crossing the road.
It’s been a wonderful week of hands-on learning, and the children have gained valuable knowledge on how to stay safe while walking outside. We’re excited to continue building these essential life skills with our little ones!
