Local Nursery Undergoes Huge Refurbishment

Sandhills Day Nursery at Alvechurch has recently undergone a huge refurbishment inside the nursery.

The local nursery, which provides care for children aged 0-5 years, operates from a converted white house at the heart of Alvechurch village.

Last week, the children were welcomed back into their newly refurbished nursery after spending the past few weeks operating from the village hall.

Bev Prandle, Nursery Manager at Sandhills Day Nursery Alvechurch, commented on the refurbishment saying, “The children and staff absolutely love the new learning environment which is wonderfully complimented with lots of open ended resources for the children to explore and further their learning and development. We are looking forward to an exciting future with endless possibilities.”

The refurbishment comes following the acquisition of Sandhills Nurseries into The Old Station Nursery Group. The outstanding group of 6 Sandhills Nurseries joined The Old Station Nursery Group at the end of 2019.

Established in 2002, The Old Station Nursery Group comprises of 12 Old Station Nurseries, 3 after-school clubs for 4 – 11 year olds, Small Friends Nursery and 6 Sandhill Nurseries.
