#TerrificTalkers in Action

Here’s how the Knock Knock Cards bring language learning to life:

  • The children begin by practicing their social skills, knocking on the cards and enthusiastically saying “knock knock.”
  • They then open the “door” to reveal an object, sparking excitement and curiosity.
  • Initially, the activity introduces single words like “ball” or “dog,” helping children build their vocabulary. As they gain confidence, they progress to two-word phrases, such as “big ball” or “brown dog.”

Why Knock Knock Cards Are Effective

This playful activity supports language development in key ways:

  • Encouraging speech by creating a safe and interactive environment for trying out new words.
  • Boosting confidence through repetition and success as they master each step.
  • Stimulating curiosity and attention, as every knock and reveal keeps them engaged.

Tweenies: Eager Learners

Our Tweenies have fully embraced the Knock Knock Cards, delighting in the chance to knock, discover, and learn. It’s a joy to see their excitement as they build their vocabulary and take pride in their growing language skills.
