On Friday 1st November, the children in the Treetops room at hdc Dartington Nursery immersed themselves in the vibrant celebration of Diwali. Through a blend of creativity and cultural learning, the children explored the meaning and origins of this beautiful festival of lights.
To mark the occasion, the children practiced their fine motor skills by creating stunning Rangoli patterns using coloured rice. This traditional art form, often displayed during Diwali, symbolises joy, prosperity, and welcoming positive energy into homes. The activity not only enhanced their artistic expression but also introduced them to a rich cultural tradition in an engaging and hands-on way.
