The children at Choochoos Day Nursery Whitstable recently visited the local war memorial to lay a handmade poppy wreath, taking part in a meaningful Remembrance Day tradition.
At Choochoos Day Nursery Whitstable, we recently took time to honour those who have served and sacrificed by visiting our local war memorial. The children had the special opportunity to take a trip to the memorial to lay down a handmade poppy wreath, created with love and care as part of their learning experience.
The visit was a chance for the children to connect with the importance of Remembrance Day. They enjoyed observing and gently exploring the other beautifully crafted wreaths on display, taking in the significance of this meaningful tradition.
At Choochoos, we value teaching our children about community, respect, and history from a young age, helping them develop understanding and empathy as they grow. This outing was a wonderful way to engage with these values while supporting the local community.
