“Children have a positive attitude to their learning and are adventurous and curious in their play.”
Following a recent inspection, local children’s nursery, The Old Station Nursery Oxford, has received a ‘Good’ Ofsted rating.
The nursery, located within Oxford Science Park, provides full-time and part-time care for children aged 0-5 all year round.
The most recent Ofsted inspection mentioned that “children have a positive attitude to their learning and are adventurous and curious in their play.”
It continued, “Staff have a good understanding of their curriculum and how children learn. Overall, they plan a rich and varied selection of well-organised activities to encourage children to explore and build on what they already know. This helps children to make good progress.”
The purpose-built nursery provides a stimulating and safe environment, expanding children’s learning and curiosity through clubs, enhancements, and The Old Station Nursery’s curriculum, the Brighter Learning Approach. These aim to enhance the EYFS, ensuring that all children develop a life-long love for learning.
Commenting on the recent grading, Nursery Manager Charlotte Dagg said, “This is a fantastic achievement for all of us here at The Old Station Nursery Oxford! The team’s dedication, skill, and drive to give all children in our care the best early education is inspiring to see as a manager.”
She continued, “I am very proud of the team who work incredibly hard every day to ensure that each child is gaining the essential skills and knowledge for their next steps in learning.”
