Local nursery hdc in Dartmouth has received an ‘Outstanding’ Ofsted grading, following their recent inspection.

The nursery, which joined The Old Station Nursery Group in 2021, provides full time and part time care for children aged 0-5 years old.

The most recent Ofsted inspection mentioned that “Dedicated staff meet their individual needs consistently and are evidently passionate about ensuring that all children reach their full potential. Children feel safe and secure. They have excellent bonds with their key person, who provides them with tender care.”

It continued with saying that “Staff plan an exciting curriculum, ensuring that children build on their existing skills and make excellent progress in all areas of development”.
The nursery provides a safe and enriching setting for children to grow, learn and play. The team ensure that there are plenty of fun and stimulating learning and developmental opportunities for all the children.”

Nursery Manager, Melissa Jordan commented on the recent grading by saying: “I’m so proud of our Ofsted result, it’s a true reflection of the outstanding care that is provided everyday by our dedicated staff. I’m really pleased it’s highlighting the extra mile we go to, making sure we provide the children with meaningful, purposeful and stimulating activities, giving them the best start in life and building them up for future success.”

She continued with “We all work together as a team with lots of dedication, passion and enthusiasm and it truly highlights the hard work we go to, to ensure the children have a safe, secure, fun, stimulating and enjoyable experience with us at hdc Dartmouth.”

Sarah Steel, Chair of The Old Station Nursery Group, also commented: “A massive congratulations to the team at hdc Dartmouth on their ‘Outstanding’ achievement. This result truly shows the dedication of the Nursery Manager and her team in ensuring that all children are provided with high-quality care”.

Named as the 13th largest nursery group in the UK (Nursery Chains league, March 2023), The Old Station Nursery Group cares for up to 5378 children in 78 nurseries across the UK.
