City MP Opens New Nursery in Lincolnshire

City MP Opens New Nursery

Lincoln city MP Karl McCartney has officially opened the newest setting of The Old Station Nursery at a ceremony today (23rd November).

Elm House Nursery Grand Opening

The grand opening of Elm House on Monks Road celebrated the merging of two Lincoln nurseries, previously situated at Lincoln College and Waterside South, creating a brand new nursery space. This newly refurbished nursery provides two floors for both staff and children, complete with an all-weather outdoor play area, a dedicated babies’ room, spaces for play and quiet time, upgraded cooking facilities, office spaces, and a comfortable staff room.

Ample Space for Play and Learning

Newly appointed manager, Laura Barton, expressed her delight by saying “We’re absolutely delighted with the nursery. The space we’ve got here means we can offer so much more freedom for the children to play and learn, especially with our all-weather outdoor area. Everyone – parents, staff and children – has nothing but great things to say about the building. We’re pleased that Karl McCartney was able to take time out of his busy schedule and come down to open the nursery officially for us.”

Karl McCartney, a special guest at the event, commended the tremendous setting and observed the children happily playing in this wonderful facility. “The new setting is tremendous. It’s lovely to see all the children playing so happily in such a wonderful facility. As a new nursery in the centre of the city, I am sure they will prove popular with parents and carers. Once again I can see The Old Station Nursery going from strength to strength.”

The Old Station Nursery Group now manages settings in various locations, including Monks Road, Lincoln Marina, Wragby Road, Newark, Gloucestershire, Oxfordshire, and Buckinghamshire.

Operations Manager at The Old Station Nursery, Rachel Attwood, said: “The children and staff now have a luxurious setting to work and play in, so we’re proud of this addition to our group.”
