The babies in The Orchard room had a wonderful adventure to The Quay, enjoying a scenic walk and a picnic while learning about the world around them.
The babies in The Orchard room at hdc Nursery Newton Abbot recently had a lovely adventure to The Quay. It was a beautiful day for a walk, and the babies enjoyed the fresh air as we strolled over the bridge, taking in the sights and sounds around us.
During the walk, the adults modelled language by pointing out different things we could see, such as the wildlife and the river. This was a great opportunity to introduce new words and concepts to the babies while supporting their language development. The babies were fascinated by the things around them, and it was lovely to watch them become Nature Explorers, curious about the world they were discovering.
We also stopped to enjoy a picnic, where the babies could relax and enjoy their snacks while continuing to observe the natural world around them. This was a wonderful chance for them to develop their social skills and enjoy being outdoors.
At hdc Nursery Newton Abbot, we believe in the importance of getting out into the community and experiencing the world first-hand. Whether it’s a walk to The Quay or another local adventure, these outings help our babies develop their senses, expand their vocabulary, and build a strong connection with nature.
