Wylde Green Day Nursery hosted their annual coffee morning in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support on Thursday 28th September 2023, raising an incredible £315.60
The children, families and team at the nursery, which is a part of The Old Station Nursery Group had the opportunity to bake or bring cakes in for others to enjoy, with a small donation in return to raise money for the charity. With all the donations put together, the nursery raised an amazing £315.60, which will be used to help support those living with cancer.
Macmillan Coffee Morning is a nationwide initiative that plays an essential role in helping cancer patients and their families. Whilst Macmillan Cancer Support collects donations all year round, it is the September appeal is a long-standing tradition that brings communities together.
Donna Reid, Nursery Manager at Wylde Green commented, “We’re happy to have raised funds in support of Macmillan Cancer Support. Our sincere gratitude extends to everyone who took part, whether through baking, donating, or simply being part of this meaningful event.”
Highlighting and celebrating national and international events, such as Macmillan Coffee Morning is an important part of the values at The Old Station Nursery Group, across the offices and nurseries alike. The nursery aims to enrich the children’s learning and development by giving them the opportunity to explore diverse topics which impact the world around them.
Together, The Old Station Nursery Group raised an impressive, combined total of £1,352.15 for Macmillan Cancer Support, with nurseries continuing to raise funds for important causes throughout the year.
