The Old Station Nursery Wellesbourne enjoyed a week of colourful, creative, and community-driven fun, raising £239 for Rainbow Trust Children’s Charity as part of The Old Station Nursery Group’s fundraising initiative.
Children arrived dressed in bright rainbow colours and took part in a variety of themed activities, including a popular cake sale and a special Pre-School Art Gallery set up in the Forest School, where donations were welcomed for entry and refreshments. Face painting added to the excitement, creating a joyful and vibrant atmosphere across the setting.
These activities brought families, children, and staff together, all while raising funds for Rainbow Trust, which provides emotional and practical support to families who are caring for a seriously ill child.
“We were blown away by the support from our families and how much the children enjoyed taking part,” said Stacey Bowen, Nursery Manager at The Old Station Nursery Wellesbourne. “The Forest School Art Gallery was a real highlight, and it was heart-warming to see everyone contribute to such an important cause.”
The Old Station Nursery Wellesbourne’s contribution forms part of a collective fundraising total of £8,319 raised across The Old Station Nursery Group in July in support of Rainbow Trust.
The fundraising month reflects the group’s ongoing commitment to building strong communities, both within and beyond nursery walls, and supporting meaningful causes that reflect their ethos of community, connection, and contribution.
Rainbow Trust’s mission to support families through the most difficult of times is one that deeply resonates with the ethos of The Old Station Nursery Group, and this month’s efforts stand as a testament to the difference that can be made when communities come together.
