Sunhill Day Nursery Colchester hosted their annual coffee morning in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support on Thursday 28th September 2023, raising an incredible £98.82.
Children and their families, as well as the nursery team, brought in an assortment of cakes and treats, which were enjoyed by all. With generous donations, Sunhill Day Nursery Colchester raised a total of £98.82.
This achievement underscores the strength of collective action within the nursery, making a great impact to not just the cause, but also to the children, who gained an insight into the world around them, and understanding the importance of taking part in community events. The funds collected will go towards vital support for people living with cancer, their families, and those who provide support to those battling with it.
Macmillan Coffee Morning is a nationwide initiative that plays a crucial role in assisting cancer patients and their families. Whilst Macmillan Cancer Support collects donations year-round, the September appeal is a long-standing tradition that brings communities together.
Elaine Sim, Nursery Manager at Colchester commented, “We’re thrilled to have raised funds for Macmillan Cancer Support. Our heartfelt thanks go out to all who participated, whether by baking, contributing, or simply joining us for this special occasion. Every donation counts and we’re happy to have supported in making a difference.”
