Small Friends Day Nursery in Leigh-on-Sea, has received an Outstanding Ofsted grading following their recent inspection.
Small Friends was last inspected in July 2015 when it was graded ‘Outstanding’. Since then, the setting welcomed new Nursery Manager, Kirsty Leech, in 2018. Kirsty has worked hard with the staff team to develop the nursery’s quality of inclusive care for the children and families; ensuring that they are provided with a warm and welcoming experience when at the nursery.
The most recent Ofsted report mentioned that “Children absolutely thrive and flourish in this inclusive, loving nursery. They embrace each other’s similarities and differences and show a deep understanding of how they include and help their friends. [….] Children benefit from a curriculum that completely encompasses and values their ideas and opinions.”
The nursery, which provides care for children aged 2-5 years old, is ideally located in the centre of Leigh-on-Sea. The nursery is well known in their respective community for providing high-quality childcare and support to all families.
Commenting on the recent ‘Outstanding’ grading by Ofsted, Nursery Manager, Kirsty Leech, said:
“Since becoming Nursery Manager at Small Friends, my vision has been to provide the children and staff with a supportive and progressive environment where the children feel safe and secure to thrive within enriching experiences which will have strong positive impacts on their futures.”
“The team and I are ecstatic to receive an Outstanding grade across all areas in our recent Ofsted inspection. This huge achievement means so much to myself and my wonderful team, as all our dedication, hard work and passion, that we provide for our children and families, has been recognised.”
