Good Manors Stubbington Lodge is celebrating a strong Ofsted outcome, with the nursery recognised for its nurturing environment, inclusive support, strong safeguarding culture, and commitment to helping children grow in confidence.
We’re proud to share that Good Manors Day Nursery Stubbington Lodge has received a strong Ofsted outcome following its recent inspection.
The nursery, based on Stubbington Avenue in Portsmouth, was inspected on 4th September 2026 under the new Early Years Foundation Stage inspection framework. It was recognised as meeting a Strong Standard across all seven inspection areas, with safeguarding also confirmed as met.
This is a wonderful reflection of the care, commitment, and warmth shown by the Stubbington Lodge team every day.
At Stubbington Lodge, children are supported in a warm and nurturing environment where they can build secure relationships, grow in confidence, and develop the independence they need for their next stage of learning.
The nursery’s inclusive approach was a real strength. The team works closely with families and external professionals to make sure children receive the right support at the right time. This helps children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) take part fully, feel a strong sense of belonging, and make excellent progress.
Children’s well-being sits at the heart of nursery life. Close relationships, consistent routines, and personalised care help children feel safe, settled, and known as individuals.
The children at Stubbington Lodge benefit from a broad and carefully planned curriculum. Through meaningful play, skilled interactions, and everyday learning moments, they build communication, language, maths, social skills, and independence.
The nursery team encourages children to explore their ideas, use new vocabulary, solve problems, show kindness, and develop the confidence they need for what comes next.
