The team at Good Manors Miller Drive is celebrating following a positive Ofsted report, which recognised the nursery’s nurturing environment, inclusive approach and commitment to helping every child feel safe, supported and confident.

Inspectors highlighted the nursery’s strong safeguarding culture, confirming that children are safe and feel safe within the setting. The report also recognised the team’s clear understanding of their safeguarding responsibilities and the steps they take to respond quickly to concerns and work together to support children’s well-being.

A nurturing and inclusive place to grow

Creating an environment where every child feels welcomed and supported is at the heart of life at Miller Drive.

The Ofsted report recognised the nursery’s inclusive approach, with children receiving individualised support based on their needs and stages of development. The team works closely with parents, carers and external professionals to identify where children may need additional help and ensure the right support is put in place.

Inspectors also noted the progress children make from their individual starting points. Through warm relationships with the nursery team, children are encouraged to develop their confidence, independence and communication skills.

Books, stories, music and conversation form an important part of everyday nursery life, giving children plenty of opportunities to hear and use new language naturally through their play and experiences.

Supporting learning through purposeful experiences

The nursery’s curriculum was also recognised positively within the report.

The team provides a wide range of purposeful indoor and outdoor learning opportunities, adapting activities and experiences to suit the children taking part.

Through high-quality interactions and a strong focus on communication, language and mathematics, children are supported to build their knowledge and develop important skills across all areas of learning.

Emma Kimber, Nursery Manager at Good Manors Miller Drive, said:
