Sixpenny Day Nursery have raised £1800 for Cancer Research by participating in the annual ‘Race For Life’ in Devizes.
On Sunday, May 7th, 2023, a determined team of 15 nursery practitioners from the nursery took part in a 5km race, all in the spirit of raising funds for Cancer Research.
Sixpenny Day Nursery, which became a part of The Old Station Nursery Group in 2021, offers exceptional full-time and part-time care for children between the ages of 0 and 5 years. The nursery prides itself on providing a nurturing environment where young minds can thrive.
Reflecting on the eventful day, Nursery Manager, Megan, expressed her heartfelt connection to Cancer Research UK. In her own words, she shared, “This charity holds immense significance for each member of our team during this time. We were eager to do everything within our power to raise funds for this remarkable organisation and play a role in finding a cure.”
She continued, “I am incredibly proud of my team and everyone who participated in the Race for Life. A heartfelt thank you goes out to all those who generously donated.”
Named as the 13th largest nursery group in the UK (Nursery Chains league, March 2023), The Old Station Nursery Group cares for up to 5335 children in 79 nurseries across the UK.
