At Stubbington Lodge, even the simplest items can become the tools for incredible learning and fun! Recently, our babies transformed the mud kitchen into an outdoor band, using pots, pans, and utensils to explore sound, rhythm, and creativity.
🥁 A Symphony of Fun
With their “instruments” in hand, the babies experimented with different ways to make sounds, discovering how taps, bangs, and clangs can create music. They loved joining in to sing songs and copy simple rhythms, turning every “bang” and “tap” into a joyful learning moment.
💬 Little Musicians, Big Achievements
Through this activity, the babies practiced key skills like:
Communication and imitation by repeating words and actions, such as: “Bang, bang, bang” “Tap, tap, tap” Fine and gross motor development as they banged, tapped, and explored the movement of their hands and arms. Sensory exploration as they discovered the unique sounds of metal, wood, and plastic.
