Townsend Montessori Nursery Herne Bay celebrated Children in Need with a day of messy play, including a colourful yellow cornflour activity that encouraged sensory exploration.
At Townsend Montessori Nursery Herne Bay, the children took part in some Children in Need themed activities. They enjoyed exploring a yellow cornflour play activity, using lots of different materials, which allowed them to engage their senses and immerse themselves in tactile learning.
The vibrant, colourful play materials—featuring yellow, red, blue, and green—encouraged exploration and problem-solving, while the messy aspect of the play created an opportunity for the children to freely express themselves and engage in sensory development.
This activity not only helped raise awareness for the charity but also aligned with our Montessori ethos, offering children an opportunity to learn through independent play and hands-on experiences.
