Celebrating Two Wonderful Years

The nursery’s two year anniversary fell on the 9th April during the peak of lockdown, so the nursery is waiting until it is safe to bring together all the children, families and team to celebrate in style. The nursery plan to have a party at the nursery decorating it with items made by the children and serving delicious cakes also made by the children.

Jan Thorp, Nursery Manager at The Old Station Nursery Heyford, commented, “We are so happy to be celebrating two fantastic years of The Old Station Nursery Heyford. We are very thankful to all of our parents and the local community for their continued support.”

She continues, “Although it is a shame we couldn’t celebrate our 2-year anniversary properly back in April or even now whilst restrictions are still in place; we are so very excited to celebrate together with all of our children and families when it is safe to do so. Here’s to many more happy years at The Old Station Nursery Heyford!”

As the only standalone nursery in Heyford Park, The Old Station Nursery provides care children aged 0-5 years old. In 2018, the purpose-built nursery opened its doors to welcome its first children and today welcomes up to 64 children each day.

The Old Station Nursery Heyford is part of The Old Station Nursery Group which was established in 2002. Since then, the company has grown steadily, creating a similar feeling and ethos in each setting while nourishing each nursery’s unique individuality.

The Old Station Nursery Group now comprises of 12 Old Station Nurseries and is very proud to also have 6 Sandhills Day Nurseries and Small Friends Day Nursery as part of the group.
