To mark Mental Health Awareness Week, the children at The Old Station Nursery Warwick took part in a special Green Day, wearing green to celebrate growth, calmness, and wellbeing.
At The Old Station Nursery Warwick, we marked Mental Health Awareness Week with a very special Green Day celebration!
The nursery was a sea of green as children and practitioners alike dressed up to show their support for this important cause. Green is the colour of growth, calmness, and wellbeing – a perfect match for little minds and big hearts.
Throughout the week, we’ve been focusing on helping children understand and explore the concepts of kindness, emotions, and looking after both ourselves and one another. These early conversations around mental health are a vital part of our brighter learning approach, helping children build resilience, empathy, and emotional awareness from a young age. The children loved getting involved in activities centred around feelings and self-care, and it’s been wonderful to see them supporting each other with such care and compassion.
Thank you to all of our families for embracing Green Day with us, together, we’re nurturing confident, thoughtful children who are ready for whatever life brings next.
