The Old Station Nursery Group, a group of 79+ settings across the UK, has won an award for “Large Group of the Year” at this year’s Nursery Management Today Awards 2023.
Returning for its 23rd year, the NMT awards is a prestigious and fun-filled event, sponsored by a selection of nurseries and local companies. The event, which took place on Saturday 25th November 2023, saw teams across nurseries in the UK join for an evening of awards, to celebrate the very best in the Early Years sector, and recognise the achievements across the people within it.
The category “Nursery Group (Large) of the Year” is open to nursery groups with 70 or more UK settings and is designed to recognise a forward-thinking group which has shown outstanding success in delivering high quality childcare, well-trained and motivated staff, inspirational values, focus across the group and financial success.
The Old Station Nursery Group was established in 2002 when the very first nursery in Faringdon opened. Since then, the company has grown steadily, creating a similar feeling and ethos in each setting while nourishing each nursery’s unique strengths. At the heart of everything the company values, they aim to inspire, nurture, and innovate to create brighter futures, together for the children in their care.
As well as “Nursery Group (Large) of the Year” award, The Old Station Nursery Group were also successful in the “Nursery Manager” award, which was won by Donna Reid at Wylde Green Day Nursery.
CEO, Adelle Taylor & Chairwoman Sarah Steel commented:
“We are delighted to win both the Nursery Manager and the Nursery Group Award. Both categories are hotly contested and this is a real testament to our excellent team, who work so hard every day to make our nurseries such special places.”
COO Claire Sephton said:
“The NMT awards event is a prestigious event and one we look forward to being part of each year. I was privileged to be a judge this year and witnessed first-hand the extremely high caliber of nominations.
She continued with:
“To be shortlisted for 6 awards was truly phenomenal but to win The Nursery Group (Large) Award will be forever etched in my memory. To say we are proud and humbled is an understatement. Kudos goes to each and every member of The Old Station Nursey Group. We will treasure our Group Award and also celebrate the huge achievement of Donna Reid for winning the Nursery Manager Award, an accolade she truly deserves.”
