Nursery Area Manager Shortlisted for National Nursery Awards
One of our Nursery Area Managers has been shortlisted for the National Nursery World Awards 2021.
A huge congratulations to Lauren Mankelow, our Area Manager for our Choochoos Day Nurseries. Lauren is responsible for overseeing the smooth running of the three nurseries, based in Canterbury, Dover and Whitstable, which all offer day care to children aged 0-5 years old.
Lauren was nominated for the ‘Nursery Operations/Regional Manager of the Year’ Award by one of her Nursery Managers, Emily Gale, who believed she deserved the award for her ongoing support, her continued enthusiasm and her dedicated commitment, especially throughout the pandemic.
On nominating Lauren for the award, Emily Gale commented “Lauren is a fantastic Area Manager, who is outstanding in so many ways. Her care for her staff’s wellbeing, children and families is always present, and her leadership skills are impartial”
Commenting on being shortlisted in the Nursery World Awards 2021, Lauren Mankelow said “Wow, what an honour to be nominated and to then be shortlisted. I feel grateful and proud to be part of Choochoos Day Nursery, The Old Station Nursery Group and especially, my team; always aiming to provide the best care and experiences for our children and a happy workplace for our staff. Thank you to Emily Gale for the nomination, it really means a lot and I am very grateful.”
Chair of The Old Station Nursery Group, Sarah Steel, added “I am delighted that Lauren has been shortlisted for this award. She shares all of her knowledge so effectively with the Nursery Managers at the three Choochoos Day Nurseries and this has resulted in high gradings from OFSTED. Winners of the Nursery World Awards will be announced at the 2021 awards ceremony on Saturday 25th September 2021.
