hdc has been named in one of the eight nursery groups recognised as ‘Outstanding Apprenticeship Employers’ in the government’s latest rankings. The nursery group, which joined The Old Station Nursery Group in 2022 provides high-quality childcare for children aged 0-5 years old.
The annual Top 50 SME Apprenticeship Employers is a prestigious celebration of exceptional small and medium-sized employers in England for their remarkable contributions to creating new apprenticeships. These rankings, collaboratively compiled by the Department for Education and independent assessors ‘High Fliers Research’, acknowledge employers’ dedication to fostering diversity among their apprentice, and ensuring successful completion of apprenticeship programs.
Sarah Steel, Chair at The Old Station Nursery Group commented on the achievement: “We bought hdc Nurseries last summer because they offer excellent quality, and we love the work they do with apprentices. Their former apprentice co-ordinator, Hannah Fleming, is now working across the company, to drive best practice.”
An apprenticeship in Early Years with The Old Station Nursery Group is a way for people of any age to gain a nationally recognised Early Years qualification whilst enjoying the benefits of being employed by one of the leading childcare providers in the country. On the successful completion of an apprenticeship journey, most apprentices earn a full-time qualified role within the nurseries.
