We are delighted to announce that Lisa Hillyard, Assistant Manager at Sunhill Day Nursery Berkhamsted, has been named a finalist in the category of SENCo of the Year at the prestigious NMT Nursery Awards 2026.
Lisa has been recognised for her dedication to supporting children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), working closely with families and colleagues to create an inclusive environment where every child feels supported and valued.
Her thoughtful, child-centred approach and commitment to championing inclusion have made a real difference to children, families and the wider nursery team.
We are incredibly proud of Lisa and delighted to see her hard work and dedication recognised nationally. We wish her the very best of luck ahead of the awards ceremony in London on 7th November.
Celebrating success across The Old Station Nursery Group
Lisa’s achievement is one of four finalist places for The Old Station Nursery at this year’s awards. The Group has also been shortlisted for Nursery Group of the Year (Large), while The Old Station Nursery Forest School Devizes has been named a finalist in two categories: Nursery Outdoor Learning Environment of the Year and Forest/Beach School of the Year.
