We’re thrilled to share that thanks to your generosity, Choochoos Day Nursery Canterbury raised £80.48 for Children in Need! Here’s a look at the fun and learning that took place during our fundraising event.
A huge thank you to all our families at Choochoos Day Nursery Canterbury for your incredible support of our Children in Need fundraising event! We are delighted to announce that, together, we raised an impressive £80.48 for this fantastic cause. Every penny will help make a difference in the lives of disadvantaged children and young people across the UK.
Throughout the week, our children were fully engaged in a range of exciting activities designed to promote the importance of supporting others. One of the highlights was the bake sale, where the children proudly baked and decorated cakes to sell to family and friends. It was wonderful to see them involved in such a hands-on activity that not only developed their fine motor skills but also gave them a sense of achievement as they helped raise money for charity. We hope you enjoyed the tasty treats as much as the children enjoyed making them!
In addition to baking, the children participated in fun activities like pinning the spot-on Pudsey and learning about how we can support others who are in need. These activities were a great way to introduce important life skills like empathy, communication, and even some early maths skills as they counted the cakes and discussed the amount of money raised.
It was so heartwarming to see how engaged and excited the children were throughout the week. Not only did they have a lot of fun, but they also learned about the value of helping others and contributing to the community—a lesson that we hope will stay with them for years to come.
