Sandhills Day Nursery Barnt Green has officially become The Old Station Nursery Barnt Green, following a refurbishment that has created brighter, warmer, and more welcoming spaces for children to learn, play, and grow.
The nursery has been part of the Barnt Green community under the Sandhills name and has been operated by The Old Station Nursery since 2019. While families will notice a new name and a fresh new look, the caring, experienced team and everything families value about their local nursery remain at the heart of what we do.
Alongside the refurbishment, the nursery has introduced a Montessori-inspired Enhancement, giving children even more opportunities to learn through hands-on, child-led experiences.
Guided by the Early Years Foundation Stage and enriched through our bespoke All Aboard Approach, each day is shaped around children’s interests, with meaningful play and real-life experiences helping them build confidence, independence, and curiosity.
Sarah Yates, The Old Station Nursery Operations Manager, said: “It’s wonderful to welcome families into our newly refurbished Barnt Green nursery and pre-school. The new spaces have been thoughtfully designed to create bright, inspiring environments where children can explore, discover and build confidence and independence through meaningful learning experiences.
“While families will notice a fresh new look and a new name, what matters most remains the same – our caring, experienced team and their commitment to getting to know each child and helping them thrive.”
Families can see the newly refurbished spaces at our Open Afternoon on Thursday 8th October, from 2pm to 5pm.
