     Job Purpose

    To provide high quality HR policy and process support, advice and guidance to stakeholders at all levels within the business.

    This is a mobile role for an experienced HR professional, you will be working closely with the Nursery Managers across the central and South East of England and the wider HR and Payroll team.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Providing consistent, timely and proactive first-line advice and guidance on specialist and/ or generalist HR issues to Nursery Managers in line with company procedures and policies
    • Monitoring HR KPI and metrics for your areas and work with the Nursery and Area Managers to address any trends including absence, performance & turnover concerns
    • Supporting the HR and Talent Acquisition Manager with delivery of both face to face and online HR related training to help develop our HR practice across the group
    • Enabling HR branding initiatives and engagement of our colleagues, ensuring our people feel valued
    • Coaching managers on a 1:1 basis to develop their management skills and enhance team performance
    • Supporting the Nursery Managers with capability investigations, including grievance and disciplinary
    • Driving the business performance and group people culture in accordance with The Old Station Nursery Group’s overall strategic objectives

    • Maintaining up to date knowledge on employment legislation and HR best practice

    Skills and Experience:

    Job Purpose

    Responsible for inorganic growth of the company in the UK through the acquisition of quality childcare programs.

    You will be working closely with the UK SMT, Group Head of M&A, Group Deputy CEOs, Group CFO and other members of the UK team.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Represent The Old Station Nursery within the UK for brokers and child care operators interested in learning more about The Old Station Nursery and/or selling their program to us
    • Proactively build strong relationships with brokers and owners of childcare centers, alongside M&A manager
    • Analyze the financial strength, quality of care and education, and strategic value of acquisition targets throughout the UK
    • Evaluate and propose key terms, including valuation ranges, based upon analysis of financial and operational metrics, including the ROI and IRR of the target company, along with careful assessment of the risks / opportunities of the opportunity
    • Make recommendations for the purchase of programs and present these proposals to members of the UK Senior Team and Group Executive Team for approval
    • Manage 3rd party professional services firm to agree any scope of work, timing, etc and review their work as required
    • Negotiate valuation and overall deal structure with sellers
    • Work with legal counsel to negotiate purchase and sale agreements, leases and other ancillary documents
    • Work with the integration manager and heads of departments to manage the integration of programs to be acquired
    • Design, and then subsequently manage, the UK M&A organization to achieve the Company’s objectives
    • Manage any post deal issues as required

    Skills and Experience:

    Essential:

    • Proven experience of working on M&A deals – from origination to completion

    Job purpose

    To drive enquiry generation for each nursery and increase parent satisfaction through a number of digital marketing activities.

    You will be working closely with the Marketing Manager as well as the wider Head Office and Nursery teams.

    Duties and responsibilities

    Responsibilities associated with this role include, but are not limited to the following:

    • Work with the Marketing Manager to develop a digital strategy that drives the business’ strategic goals
    • Own the implementation of the digital strategy, coordinating various digital platforms to create a unified user experience
    • Organise, monitor and update the digital marketing budget to drive the business’ strategic goals
    • Utilise all digital platforms (email, social media (organic and paid), forums, press, SEO and paid search) and optimise website performance to ensure optimal digital amplification of the company’s brand and content in partnership with media agency
    • Ensure that all digital platforms are integrated and aligned to deliver marketing goals
    • Collect, analyse and present monthly KPI data
    • Optimise metrics to improve campaign ROI

    Job Purpose

    To ensure efficient and effective management of our computer systems within the limits of requirements, specifications, costs and timelines.

    You will be working closely with the Heads of Departments, contractors and external service providers.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Maintain essential IT operations, including operating systems, network, security tools, applications, servers, email systems, laptops, desktops, software, and hardware
    • Organise troubleshooting or repair when necessary for IT equipment
    • Track inventory and status for hardware and software throughout the group
    • Implement an IT budget for the group and ensure cost effectiveness
    • Advise about the group’s IT equipment, networking, and connectivity needs and purchases products, parts, and services as necessary

    You will be working closely with the Nursery Managers, contractors and service providers.

     

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • To provide exemplary industry-standard support and guidance regarding facilities and premises management and maintenance services.
    • Responsible for ensuring that all our sites are fully compliant with the latest building, environment, and statutory standards.
    • Oversee service contract providers responsible for the provision of hard and soft FM services, ensuring health and safety compliance and the delivery of quality services to the Nursery and Head Office teams.
    • Work closely with the Nursery Managers and Head Office teams to assist where required with the coordination of office moves or relocations.
    • Oversee the management and co-ordination of programmes of work across the portfolio of properties, including capital projects, ensuring close collaboration and provide the interface between the appropriate management teams ensuring they are delivered on time and in budget.
    • Support the execution of operational maintenance by developing processes, procedures, tools, documents, communication and implementation plans.
    • Provide the Nursery Managers and Maintenance teams with support managing works and communicating effectively with parents, employees and colleagues; demonstrating a clear understanding of issues and using initiative to respond accordingly.
    • Collaborate with the Nursery Managers to carry out regular visits ensuring physical assets and systems are maintained to the highest standards of repair.

    • Experience of legal/regulatory requirements relating to premises Health and Safety support services, including Fire Risk Assessments, Legionella, Asbestos, Control of Contractors and workplace assessments.
    • Previous experience of supervising contractors/suppliers and of working with teams repairing and maintaining buildings.
    • Experience of developing and maintaining risk assessments, managing preventative maintenance systems and the ability to support the wider leadership team in developing their facilities and infrastructure strategy.
