It’s been lovely to welcome back some of our families this month!
It has been wonderful to hear about what the children have all been up to whilst on lockdown. We cannot wait to welcome more families back to the nursery in July.
Since returning to nursery, we have spent time talking about what we have been doing at home over the last few months. We have loved hearing all about new pets, new family members and what new things the children have learnt to do. Many of our younger children have given their dummies to the dummy fairies, learnt to walk and talk. Some of our older children have come back to nursery and are able to write their own names!
At nursery, we have spent lots of time outside looking at our plants that are growing and watering them daily with the watering cans. We had lots of fun listening to the thunder and watching the heavy rain showers through the window. Lots of fun was had after the storm with splashing in the puddles!
What’s coming up in July
We are looking forward to welcoming back some more of our families in July! As our annual Summer Fete can no longer go ahead on Wombourne Carnival day, we are taking part in ‘Carnival @ Home’. We will be decorating the outside of the nursery with the children’s colourful artwork and planting lots of lovely bright flowers to celebrate our Carnival theme of ‘Sandhills in Bloom’.
We will also be participating in a ‘PJ Day’ on the 22nd July as a fundraising event to raise funds for our amazing NHS! July is also National Picnic Month so to celebrate this, we will be having picnics in the garden on the week commencing the 27th July. We will send out more information and details closer to the time but we have a lot to look forward to next month already. We can’t wait!
