Wolverhampton June News: DIY, Father's Day and a New Family Addition

The Old Station Nursery Group - Creating Brighter Futures Together

A huge welcome back!

We have welcomed some of our children back to nursery this month; staff have worked very hard behind the scenes to ensure that nursery is a safe and clean environment for everyone.

June news

The children have settled in very well; they quickly knew the importance of handwashing to keep the virus away and adapted very well to the new measures that we have in place.

All the children have enjoyed playing with all their friends again and have thoroughly enjoyed a range of different activities. Most notably, the children have enjoyed story time outside, mark making, doing action songs and the over 2s have shown a very keen interest in DIY.  The children can often be seen with tools in their hands looking for items to fix.

All the children enjoyed talking about Father’s Day through stories and activities and producing items for their Daddies. We hope you all had a wonderful day.

What’s coming up in July

We are very much looking forward to welcoming more of our children and families back to nursery in July, we have missed you all very much. We also have to say a very sad goodbye to our preschool children who will be leaving us to begin their next adventure. We all wish them luck and we will miss them lots.

Other important information

Can parents ensure that the children have a named bottle of suntan lotion and a named sunhat to be kept at nursery please.

Amy, our Preschool Leader, gave birth during lockdown to a very beautiful little girl called Marnie. She made her arrival on 22nd April 2020. Mommy and Marnie are doing well and Charlie is thoroughly enjoying being a big brother.
