Uxbridge June News: New Team Members, Crafts and Ice Cream

The Old Station Nursery Group - Creating Brighter Futures Together

A very warm welcome back to Uxbridge Nursery! It is wonderful to have most of the children back at nursery this month. We hope to welcome even more back in July.

As the newly appointed Nursery Manager,  I have been busy working towards ensuring the smooth opening of the nursery this month. So far, all is going extremely well and I am am working with a wonderful team here at the nursery to ensure we keep all your little ones safe – and most importantly, ensure they are having fun!

We also welcome Gary Bunting, our new Deputy Nursery Manager, who has been with us for two weeks. Gary will be supporting and working between our two Premier sites. Chantelle Odongo has also recently joined us as our Premier Nursery Level 3 Practitioner, who transferred from the Iver site.

Wishing them both a happy and successful career at Premier Uxbridge.

June news

We are pleased to have reopened our nursery doors this month after what seemed a rather long time in lockdown. We are very mindful of the risks and so are continuing to ensure that we follow the stringent guidelines provided by the Government.

We started with one bubble of children in nursery and very soon grew into a second bubble. The children have been vertically grouped in their bubbles and have all settled in well. There has been a lot of art and craft activities, singing and dancing this month. More recently with the warm weather, the children have been accessing the outdoors in their respective bubbles. The children have thoroughly enjoyed the hose pipe which has helped to keep them cool. The children have also been enjoying their lunches and puddings – especially the ice cream!

What’s coming up in July

We look forward to welcoming all our returning children and new starters to our nursery in July. We are looking forward to a productive month, with most of our existing preschool children taking part in a small graduation ceremony. The date will be posted up at the front of the nursery. Parents will be sent photographs of their child at this event.

Other important information

All staff have taken part in the COVID-19 training which was a necessity prior to returning to work.

The nursery has a new childcare system and this is currently being uploaded with all the children’s information.

We now have a board outside showing our meals of the day.

Calpol provided by parents will be returned as we will be providing sachets at the nursery.

In order to bring the nursery group together, we will be merging our Facebook page with The Old Station Nursery page. Our Facebook page will move over on Monday 6th July so please ensure that you are following The Old Station Nursery page by then to keep up to date with all of our latest news and to continue to receive regular insight into nursery life. To follow The Old Station Nursery page, please click HERE. We would also love for you to follow us on Instagram. If you would like to follow us on Instagram, please click HERE.

Finally, we would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our parents, carers and staff for their patience as this has been a very trying and testing time for us all.
