Uxbridge July News: Outdoor learning, new menus and a big good luck

July news
It has been great to see more children in nursery with many of our nursery children returning this month. The children have been very excited to be reunited with all of their friends and keyworkers. We have recently moved the children back into their respective rooms with lots of activities on offer. With the weather being pleasant, the pre-schoolers have been doing much of their learning outside.
We started using our new menus mid-July, which the children have enjoyed. A copy of the menu is on the board by the front door for any parents who would like to take a look. The menu will be on a three-week rotation.
We say goodbye to our term time only preschool children, who will be starting Primary School in September. You will all be so missed but we are positive that you will all flourish at ‘big school’.
We also welcome Natalie Evans to Uxbridge as our Baby Room Leader. Natalie is an experienced Level 3 practitioner. We wish her a happy and rewarding career with us. We also welcome back Anthony Copeland, our Nursery Cook.
What’s coming up in August
On Friday 7th August, we will be hosting a graduation party for all our preschool leavers. Sadly, we are unable to invite parents due to the restrictions still in place, but we just could not let the children leave without a proper send off. We will ensure that graduation photographs will be taken as a keepsake for you.
With the high demand for places at the nursery from new prospective parents and the current restrictions, we have made a conscious decision to host a ‘Show Around Saturday’ on the 8th August. The team will be on site from 10am to 12pm and this is by appointment only for prospective parents. If you know anyone might like to visit the nursery, please kindly give them our details. We will be cleaning thoroughly between appointments and ensuring social distancing measures are in place at all times.
