Welcome to our November newsletter! We have started the countdown to Christmas, and we are all very excited about putting the Christmas tree up and spreading some festive cheer.
Thank you to all the parents and carers that donated towards us raising money for Children in Need. The teatime Teddy Bear’s picnic went down a treat and the children loved showing off their pyjamas and spots to each other. We raised an amazing amount of money, so thank you very much!
The older children were very excited to watch April from our Tots room with sparklers in the garden, while they enjoying hot chocolate. The babies have been exploring with food play in the room – their favourite was edible sand made with rice krispies! They also enjoyed making cakes for Children in Need and adding Pudsey cake toppers onto them!
The Tots have been creating their own poppies for our Remembrance Day display, at the nursery entrance. The children in the Pre-school room enjoyed finding out about Diwali. They made their own clay tea lights and Yali brought in her beautiful Diwali dress.
What’s coming up next month
December is going to be all about Christmas and we can not wait to start the countdown! Thank you to Tish in the Pre-school room who has created a nursery Advent Calendar for the children. We will be raising money for Save the Children on Friday 10th December with Christmas Jumper Day – we are inviting all children and staff to wear their Christmas jumpers. The whole month is going to be jam packed full of Christmas activities, craft, baking, Christmas dinners and a Christmas Disco. Look out for emails with confirmation of dates.
On Tuesday 30th November and Wednesday 1st December, Freedom photography will be coming to take Christmas pictures of the children in the morning, you can review these images and buy copies if you wish. For the children that do NOT do a Tuesday or Wednesday morning session – you are welcome to bring your children a long to have their photo taken at 9.15am. Please do not come any earlier.
Please remember that for any children that are going to school next year, the deadline to apply for a school is January 2021.
If you are entitled to 30hours government funding from next term, please ensure you have applied by Tuesday 30thNovember 2021. https://www.childcarechoices.gov.uk/
