Welcome back to all of our families who returned in June. It is so lovely to see you all again and a pleasure to see how the children have grown and developed during lockdown!
The children have all settled back into nursery life so well, it’s like they’ve never been away! The children have been very happy to be reunited with their friends and staff members. Thank you too, to all parents and carers, who have added numerous observations onto EyLog so that the staff could see what the children have been up to over lockdown; they have been lovely to see and, of course, this opens up further discussions with the children at nursery.
It is so important that we are having consistent communication with parents and carers so that we can continue to build those relationships. We thoroughly enjoy seeing observations added to Eylog, so that we can continue to follow the children’s interests at nursery and their home experiences.
The Baby Room has been quiet and they have managed to spend a lot of time outside as they have a lovely undercover astro-turf area. The Tots Room have concentrated on settling the children back into nursery and have been doing lots of dancing, singing and, of course, playing in the garden enjoying the glorious sunshine we’ve been having (and the odd rain shower!). Pre-school has had a little change as Janet decided not to return to us after lockdown and Bee has become Room Leader aided by Katherine and Tracy. Pre-school have enjoyed playing “Wake up Mr Bear”, making dream catchers and going on a nature colour walk in the Daily Mile area.
Next week, we welcome back our children who return in July, we are so looking forward to seeing them again! Sadly, some of our School Leavers have already left which means we didn’t get to have a party or say our goodbyes. There will, however, be a small leaver’s gift finding its way to everyone who is moving onto school. Good luck and we will miss you!
What’s coming up in July
More of our lovely children and staff are coming back in July! We are so very excited to see you all.
Let’s hope for lots more sunshine – fingers crossed for water play and paddling pools!
Other important information:
A big thank you to all of our parents and carers for their continued support and good humour during these very strange times.
