On Wednesday 16th September, both staff and children took part in our Jeans for Genes fundraiser by wearing our jeans to nursery and doing some fun activities. We raised a total of £22.50 and the money raised from donations will help to make a difference to children affected by genetic disorders. Thank you all for participating and your kind donations.
This month, we have been focusing on recycling and celebrated ‘Recycle Week’ this past week. The children have been very busy creating models and structures using recyclable materials as well as learning all about recycling and how to look after our planet.
You may have noticed that we have moved our home learning board to the foyer area so that you can still get involved our themed learning activities at home. We hope that you are enjoying it!
What’s coming up in October
In October, we are looking forward to taking part in ‘Space Week’, ‘Baking Week’ and ‘The Big Draw’. These topics offer so many opportunities for the children to learn and take part in such a wide variety of activities. We are really looking forward to them already!
On Friday 30th October, we shall be hosting a ‘Halloween Day’ where we will be encouraging everyone to dress up as their favourite spooky character. We will also have lots of fun Halloween themed activities going on throughout the day.
As Autumn begins, the children will be learning about the changing seasons and we would love for you to share with us any photographs and videos from any Autumn walks and other activities you have been doing at home to support our learning experiences here at nursery.
