We would like to welcome all our parents to this month’s newsletter! We have had a busy month despite being closed for a short while, with the work on the garden well underway, and is already looking great.
This month we have celebrated lots of different special dates including Road Safety Week, Bonfire Night and Remembrance Day.
The babies have been enjoying using the sensory puzzles, improving their colour recognition skills and discussing with practitioners all the different feelings and emotions. The babies have focused on a road safety theme recently and have used the cars and train track in small world play. The babies have also been on walks around the village exploring the wonderful autumnal environment.
The toddlers have been using their creative skills making their own poppies. The children joined in with the two minute silence across the whole nursery, with the toddlers discussing the colour and significance of the poppy.
The pre-schoolers have been making the most of the village, going on lots of walks and collecting autumn leaves. They used these leaves to paint and print onto paper making their own autumn pictures, discussing the colours and the different size, shape and texture of the leaves.
What’s coming up next month
As I’m sure you are aware next month is very exciting and Christmassy! We will be having lots of exciting things going on around the nursery. Christmas jumper day is December 10th where children are welcomed to wear a Christmas jumper to nursery. We will be holding our Christmas party on the 9th of December where children can wear party clothes, and we are excited to invite you to Christmas carolling on the 15th of December.
Other important information
Sadly, Kadi leaves Harpole this month as she moves onto her next chapter in a new nursery. As you are aware we had to cancel our parents evening however we will re book this in for the 1st-3rd of December. Please speak to staff to book a slot.
This month, we have received a lot of new reviews on Daynurseries, Google and Facebook. Thank you so much for taking the time to write such lovely reviews. They are hugely appreciated by our team! Please share photos of your child’s activity on the parent app. We look forward to seeing your child’s updates.
Please continue to share what your child has been doing within their home life on the parent app, their interests and their development, so their key person can see this and use towards helping them monitor their development and learning.
