Filkins December News: Glitter, Dancing and Festive Fun

December news
What a year this has been!
I would like to thank every parent and carer for their continued support and understanding throughout this year but most of all, thank you for continuing to trust us with your children through such an unprecedented time. We have all worked so hard to keep all children, parents and staff safe.
Glitter season is here and in full swing! All children have participated in lots of Christmas activities this month, creating some beautiful cards, tree decorations, party hats and lots more. The children have used a lot of different materials to create their masterpieces, using lots of colours and glitter to add the extra festive touches.
The children have enjoyed party days throughout December which have been complete with lots of dancing, party games and other fun activities. These were thoroughly enjoyed by everyone and we have some very talented dancers in our nursery! Look out for these dance moves over the Christmas break.
What’s coming up in January
January term starts back on the 4th and we very much look forward to hearing all of your Christmas news and stories. Please do share with us a few photos on EyLog, we love to see them.
Throughout January, the children will be celebrating a number of events and occasions to help extend their learning and knowledge even further. The children will be participating in ‘The Big Schools Bird Watch’ where they will be looking at different kinds of birds, which ones they can the see in the garden and making bird feeders.
We look forward to welcoming our new children in January that will be joining our Filkins family. We are very excited to see lots of new faces around the nursery and welcoming you into our close community.
