We would like to welcome all our parents and our new parents to our monthly newsletter. The nice weather has encouraged us to spend more time outside and certainly enjoy the water play.
In the Pre-School Room the children have been making lots of lovely cards for Daddies, Grandads, and other family members that we care about.
The children have been intrigued with the curiosity box, looking at and learning all about coconuts, from the outside shell, hairiness, and the milk inside.
Art club is still a big hit, the children loved going with Alison in the afterschool room and are creating great masterpieces. The children have loved our core story Jack and the Beanstalk, and have now moved onto the Hungry Caterpillar. The team will be hosting a hungry caterpillar themed day on the 7th of July 2021. This includes crafting, dressing up and some food tasting activities.
In the Toddler Room the children have been going on a bear hunt! They have enjoyed exploring the story through messy play, including coloured water play and different malleable textures. They have enjoyed expressing themselves through colour and also through dressing up as superheroes, using foil capes. The toddlers have also been making bread – tasting it was their favourite part, of course. They have also been playing games which practice taking turns and expressing themselves through talk of their feelings.
In the Baby Room the children have been practicing their physical skills. They have been exploring water whilst standing, crouching, kneeling, and sitting – this has also helped us keep them cool. The babies have also been baking biscuits for Father’s Day and cards to accompany these. The children have also been keen singers and musicians.
What’s coming up next month
Next month we are looking forward to celebrating International Friendship Day, where we will make cards and read stories about the importance of friendship and how to become a good friend. Also, we will send some cards to the local care home to create happiness within the community.
Other important information
