We would like to welcome all of our new children and parents to our Bampton family. It has been lovely to see all of our new and existing children return after the Christmas break and to hear about the adventures they had over the festive period.
Thank you to all our families for being patient and understanding with us through these uncertain times. Sadly, we are still under strict guidelines and appreciate your help and support in keeping our children and staff safe. The staff are working so hard to keep up with strict hygiene and cleanliness throughout the nursery. I am sure you would join me in thanking them all for their hard work.
We also would like to welcome a new member to our Baby Room team; Lauren Cook, who started with us at the beginning of the month. She will be working Monday, Thursday and Fridays.
This month, the children have celebrated Burns Night. The children tasted haggis, neeps and tatties, which majority of the children liked! Also in January, the children have been extremely excited to meet our new baby guinea pigs. They are based in the preschool room and the children have really enjoyed giving them cuddles, stroking them and learning about how to look after them. The biggest decision they had was agreeing on names! The children have decided on Chase and Rocky. Once our bubbles are relaxed, the guinea pigs will be going into the Baby Room as well, so that our younger children can see them.
Throughout the month, the children have enjoyed getting to know all of their new friends and welcoming them to their room by showing them around and introducing them to each other. It has been lovely to see and new friendships have been formed.
What’s coming up in February
Next month is going to be a busy one, as we have lots to celebrate!
We will be celebrating Chinese New Year which is on the 12th February. Both rooms will engage in a range of fun activities to help the children learn about Chinese traditions surrounding this event.
Pancake day is another fun day we will be celebrating which is on the 16th February. We love celebrating Pancake Day, for obvious reasons (!!); but the children in nursery also get to try and experience different tastes and smells.
Other important information
We know that our fantastic families are always recommending us to their friends, so we want to say a big thank you for your referrals! As of Saturday 23rd January 2021, when you refer a friend and they join the nursery, we would like to thank you with a £100 credit off your next invoice. We know you have lots of friends so there is no limit! We are always very grateful for your support and look forward to welcoming more of your friends into our nursery family! Terms and conditions apply so please speak with me to check these.
For children who are term time only, here are some important term dates:
Half term – Week commencing 15th February for one week
Easter Holidays – Thursday 1st April and return to nursery on Monday 19th April
Bank Holidays – We are closed for all children on Friday 2nd April, Monday 5th April and Monday 3rd May
Just a polite reminder that we will not accept your child if they have had Calpol before their session and ask you to keep your child at home if they have a temperature or are poorly.
When picking up your children, could I please ask you not to allow any children on to the Baby Room equipment in the garden. This is for Baby Room children only. We cannot have other children touching this equipment, especially as we are trying to stay safe in our bubbles.
