We have had so much fun throughout the month of December!
Both the baby room and the 2-4 room have taken part in lots of Christmas crafts this month as well as participating in a number of exciting Christmas themed activities.
The baby room have enjoyed mark making; they thoroughly enjoyed painting their hands and feet, allowing them to experience the texture of the paint. You might have noticed that the baby room now has access to some soil which the children are fully utilising whilst playing outside. The children have had so much fun using the resources to do some digging and mixing. If possible, could you please bring in some wellies and a wetsuit. This ensures that the children can still go outside in all weathers.
The 2-4 room have been practising their Christmas songs. They have been working very hard to get them just perfect! You may have heard them singing these at home; the children are amazing and sing with such enthusiasm. As well as singing, they have taken part in plenty of Christmas crafts such as decorating the tree, making baubles, making their own snow and making gingerbread men.
What’s coming up in January
Looking forward to January, we are very excited to be celebrating Burns Night! We will be having haggis, neeps and tatties and will create some poems of our own. We will, of course, let you know if anyone enjoys the haggis!
The baby room are looking forward to sprucing up their outdoor area in the New Year. We are awaiting some exciting resources to enhance the area. Watch this space!
Other important information
Just a polite reminder that we will not accept your child in to nursery if they have had Calpol before their session.
We cannot wait for you all to return in January! We are very excited to hear about all of the children’s Christmas breaks. We reopen on the 4th January, however, this is an inset day, and the term begins on Tuesday 5th January.
It has been a hard and testing year for us all but we have made it and welcome 2021 with open arms. We would like to say thank you to all of our families for being patient and understanding with us through these uncertain times. From all of us here at The Old Station Nursery in Bampton, we wish you a very Merry Christmas!
