|Hello again, it’s that time to share with you all the wonderful things once again we have been up to this month. We have been enjoying the beautiful weather and the children have been making the most of this, enjoying making amazing memories with their friends.
This month as a nursery we have been celebrating Pride Month, the children have been learning all about equality and diversity and enjoying a range of activities to help them understand this. We have displayed our support with our own flag proudly hanging outside. The children have also worked together as a whole nursery and we have created a big rainbow, with every child’s handprint on this.
The children have been very busy making lots of Father’s Day crafts, we have enjoyed some lovely books about fathers and the children have loved talking about the Dads with their friends too. We hope all our Dads had a great Father’s Day!
During June the children within the preschool room have enjoyed celebrating their last few week’s together, this have been fun week for the whole nursery too. The preschool children have enjoyed a party day together, with a bouncy castle, party games and food. It was so lovely to see all the children together. This week has consisted of fancy dress day, craft day, PJ day, party day and Science day. The children have had a lovely week.
This month we would like to welcome Megan to our team, and we’re sure you may see her around the nursery soon. Megan will be supporting all rooms, and has already made some lovely bonds with the children.
With a heavy heart I we would like to say fair well to Kirsty, who has been apart of our Sandhills family for over 9 years, and we are going to miss seeing her happy self around the setting every day. Kirsty is moving onto bigger adventures and we would all love to wish the very best for her future.
What’s coming up next month
Next month our pre-schoolers will be having their leavers picnic on Saturday 24th July. We very much look forward to celebrating with all of our pre-school children.
We hope that July continues to bring us lots of sunshine so that they children can continue to make the most of their outdoor areas, exploring and discovering at every opportunity!
Other important information
A small reminder that face masks must be worn when dropping off and collect children from the door.
Please can we also remind parents to ensure their children have sun cream factor 50 and sun hats.
Thank you for all your continued support!
