Our Nursery in Innsworth, Gloucester

We are having a very frustrating time with the builders of our new nursery at Innsworth, who are even further behind schedule than we had predicted. However, we are offering alternative care from 1st September and will be open on Monday 6th September.  Please contact Tracey Wilce on 07786 105611 for further information or to book settling-in sessions.

Our opening party will now be held at 3.30pm on Friday 10th September, so please join us then to celebrate.

The Old Station Nursery is coming to Gloucester!

We are delighted to have been awarded the contract to run the new nursery at Imjin Barracks, Gloucester, which is due to open during summer 2010. This nursery will be for families of personnel working at Imjin Barracks, including those returning from Germany as part of HQ ARRC.

The site is currently just a set of foundations, so we will be getting involved with all aspects of the new building and are really looking forward to setting up the nursery to our specification over the coming months. I visited the site today and was really thrilled to see the building taking shape and to view the detailed plans for the site. Not only is it going to be an attractive, well laid out space, but the landscaping looks first class and the eco-credentials are impressive.

We will have prospectuses available shortly with more details for prospective parents and children, but in the meantime do e-mail us enquiries@theoldstationnursery.co.uk and we can answer your immediate questions. We will be taking bookings from the beginning of April and will update this page as the project develops.  

We are currently set to open on 1st September, but obviously if we can bring this forward at all, we will. We all appreciate that it is difficult to make such a major decision about where to place your child, while the build is still under way, but anyone who wishes to visit one of our other nurseries would be more than welcome and one of our team will be very happy to answer your questions and chat further. 8 July 2010 update

The new build is coming on really well, most noticeable today was the planted roof, which was flowering and apparently gets watered for 6 weeks then sorts itself out. The walls are being plastered internally and we are still working towards a handover date to us of 6th August. It’s going to be great!

10 May 2010 update

I visited the new nursery for a meeting with the whole project team and was delighted to see how well it is progressing. The timber frame is very impressive and the nursery will be light and airy with high ceilings and roof lights. We enjoyed choosing wall colours and floor coverings and talking about important details – like how wide the opening needs to be for the washing machine!
