Happy New Year!
06/01/10
Happy New Year to you all and best wishes for a happy and successful 2010 for all of us. The Christmas break is over in a flash and here we are, looking at another busy year and trying to make our resolutions last at least a week. This year my resolutions are all positive things, rather than trying to give up anything or change bad habits. However, I know that as usual, events will overtake me, but i think the exercise of thinking about the past year and deciding what needs changing in the new one is still worth doing.
As I write we are under several inches of snow here in Gloucestershire and I’ve been talking to all our great managers by e-mail to find out how the weather is affecting them. The challenges of having a company with sites all over the UK is that it can be hard to understand how difficult things can be in one area, when another is completely trouble-free. However, this morning everyone seems to be struggling to deliver a great service as usual, although I know that at Faringdon and Filkins they’ve opened with a skeleton staff but we haven’t got any children yet!
Anyway, here’s hoping you are enjoying the snow if you have any and remember, when you open the curtains and complain at the snow, rather than saying ‘yippee, we can have a snowball fight!’ you are officially grown-up…….
